The Federation of companies of Congo (FEC) – is the name of the former National Association of Business Zaire (Anezi) from May 19, 1997.
Established by Decree-Law No 72-028 of 27 July 1972, is a nonprofit association that was founded by the merger of three organizations, namely: the Provincial Federation of Associations of enterprises in the former Zaire (Ferza), the National Federation of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture established in 1912 el 'Association for promoting and defending the interests of Congolese traders (APRODECO).
The Federation aims to serve as a chamber of commerce, industry, agriculture and handicrafts and as a professional organization of employers. One of its main missions is "to ensure the promotion of activities in the Democratic Republic of Congo." It provides companies with defense, especially against the Government. It covers the entire Congolese territory and joins the  private companies of any size operating in different sectors.

Activities:

  • Cooperation in the development and implementation of the economic and social development;
  • Supports any action to promote education and scientific research for integrated development of the nation;
  • Assume the defense of the interests of member companies;
  • Participates in the development of law;
  • Maintain the directories for foreign countries;
  • Develop socio-economic statistics;
  • Public information and professional advice on employment relations;
  • Provides economic indicators;
  • Promotes business meetings with external partners;
  • Participate in the work of the National Commission for foreigners working in the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare;
  • Represents the domestic private sector in negotiations with various ministries;
  • Strengthening of trade relations and understanding among members;
  • Create and strengthen a harmonious relationship between government and communities;
  • Seminars, conferences, seminars, etc.;
  • Encourage and promote vocational training among its members and that of their staff;
  • Transmit a series of publications to its members, including: newsletters, Branchenbuch, practical guide to legal requirements to undertake the Democratic Republic of Congo.



Services:

  • Provides assistance in cases of social conflict (individual and collective) and ensure representation of its members to the Board of Conciliation and Mediation Board;
  • Certificates of origin;
  • Presentation on behalf of its members in case of unfair competition, trade disputes, etc..
  • Support for consular formalities for foreign travel (visa) and within the country;
  • Participation rate subsidies for promotional events (exhibitions, fairs and trade fairs) held by the same FEC or other institutions;
  • Support the creation and installation of business;
  • Support management through advice and guidance;
  • Assistance in corporate restructuring;
  • The adjustment of disputes in cases of unfair competition and counterfeiting;
  • Assistance in case of resumption of activities and business transfers;
  • Working with the Ministry of Productive Activities for the filing and registration of trademarks, industrial designs and patents;
  • Orientation towards growth markets and investment opportunities.
