Congo-Brazzaville:visit of Denis Sassou Nguesso in China

The President Denis Sassou Nguesso arrived in Beijing last September 26 for a 5-day working visit. He was welcomed both by the Chinese authorities and by the Congolese colony in China. The meeting between the two different geographical contexts, through their representative institutions, raises hope for the Congo, signed the agreements and contacts made. The presidential delegation boasted among its ranks some prestigious members of government, such as Pierre Moussa Plan for Development Planning, Economic Integration and NEPAD, Rodolphe Adad of Foreign Affairs and Francophonie, Florent Ziba Plant and Works Public, Pierre Oba of Geology and Mining Industries, Bruno Richard Itoua hydroelectricity, Ballay Mégot Development Cooperation, Denis Gokana Director General of the National Society of Petroleum of Congo (SNPC) and Jean-Jacques Bouy, General Delegate to Great work. The wonderful reception was organized by the Chinese Head of State, His Excellency M. Yu Jintao, the latter accompanied by members of the Chinese government. After the opening ceremony at the Great Hall of the People, the two delegations were found tete-a-tete: they signed the relevant protocols to the partnership and technical assistance between the two states represented purpose, such as agreement on the construction of the road in Pointe-Noire-Brazzaville, signed by the Minister Rodolphe Adad and his Chinese counterpart, and that on the transpose of electricity from the hydroelectric dam Imboulou (under construction), signed by Minister Bruno Jean-Richard Itoua and his counterpart in China. During the stay, the distinguished political figure Congolese also got to read the CITIC, a company State Export and Import of aeronautical engineering, with the intention of helping the Congo in the revival of its national air transport sector and for providing various facilities. Among other important meetings, it is  necessary to underline that  with the President of the company CMEC, M. Xie Biao, with whom it was agreed the restoration of works of rehabilitation of  the factory of drinking water treatment  in Djiri. The CMEC is the company that runs the construction of the dam Imbou-lou, located nearly 200 km in the north of Brazzaville. In his capacity as President of the Economic Community of Central African States (CFEAC), Denis Sassou Nguesso, has long talked  with the heads of diplomatic missions of African countries in Beijing, pointing out the importance for Africa to unite and act together. Also, the Congolese Head of State Summit held talks with President of the Permanent Commis sion of the National Popular Assembly (APN), M Wu Bangui and the Chinese Prime Minister, M. Wen Jiabao and such political figures have expressed their full satisfaction with the evolution of collaboration in tangible action. Diplomatic relations between China and Congo have started since 1964 and in 2001, trade volume reached 220 million U.S. dollars and then go to 875 million dollars in 2003. As part of strengthening their oil cooperation, the two countries signed in the month of February, two agreements aimed at research and production off the coast of Congo. In 2004, Congo exported 90 million barrels of crude oil to China: in 2005, 100 million. Of significant importance, even the agreement about a  telecommunications company: the Chinese company ZTE will install their technological bases on Congolese territory. The investment is estimated at 25.4 million USD, of which 75% should be led by  the aforementioned Chinese company. The journey of political and institutional Chief of the Republic of Congo has been characterized by economic arrangements that have most enhanced the ongoing business relationship.
