The guarantee of the Simest

In this chapter we deal with Simest and in particular with the Finmed (revolving fund assistance of additional Simest) and other security instruments for foreign investment.

SIMEST: The Simest is a financial established by Law 100/90. It is operational since 1991 as a joint stock company in order to assist and advise entrepreneurs on all aspects related to the internationalization of their activities, SIMEST operate in all countries of the world outside the EU including the ' Africa. Legislative Decree 143/98 extended the activities of Simest also entrusted the management of public facilities provided by existing legislation and expanding the traditional instruments of intervention in favor of Italian investments abroad. The main tools available for Italian companies wishing to invest abroad are presented in summary in the following paragraphs:

A) to facilitate export credits (Legislative Decree 143/98, ex L. 227/77).
B)  financings of programs to penetrate into foreign markets (Law No 394/81).
C)  financings  for participation in international competitions (Law No. 304/90).
D) Participation of foreign firms in the capital Act April 24, 1990, No 100.
S) Contributions to the interests of the funding of the fee, of an Italian company (Law 100/90, Article 4 - DM 03/01/2000, n. 113).
F) pre-feasibility and feasibility studies related to contracts under which the consideration consists in whole or in part the right to exploit the work.

FINMED is a revolving fund aimed at financing additional interventions of Simest SpA to facilitate the establishment of enterprises in the Mediterranean countries, Iraq and African countries south of the Sahara (November 11, 2003 DM 422, DM 429 of 19 November 2003 and DM 443 of January 27, 2004). It 's a revolving fund aimed at supporting the investments of Italian enterprises through the acquisition by Simest Spa, in behalf of the Ministry of Industry, Directorate General for internationalization policy, of shares of capital investment.
