Once again the Italians and especially the Campania region have shown their big hearts.

It has been a solidarity unexpected proportions and therefore even more welcome and appreciated what businesses, industry groups and ordinary people have given the initiative promoted by the Consulate for Children in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Even if the Italian people and in particular that field is renowned for its sensitivity and humanity, the enthusiasm shown on this occasion exceeded all expectations.

But we take a small step back, during his trip to the capital of DRC, the Consul was very impressed by the difficult conditions faced by children in the extreme periphery. It 'was therefore natural for him to decide to do "something" and so, within a few days, the idea has been followed by action that was reflected in the purchase made personally by the Consul and sending two ambulances, various medicines, medical equipment, to install a specialist laboratory, and children's clothing. In addition, the initiative has been promoted "Request for funding the education of Congolese children in difficult circumstances." Prompt and significant was the response of those who acceded to the request. And it began to come around, because there are so many things that children need. Everyone has contributed according to their possibilities.

Some examples?
A supply of pasta dough from the "Arts & Pasta Boscoreale (NA);
crates of vegetables and canned food industry of concentrated by Domenico Vitale Polvica Nola (NA);
an assortment of articles for household cleaning (detergent-detergent-disinfectants) by the Industrial Chemistry SAS Lamberti C & C, various foodstuffs (tomatoes, beans, chickpeas, lentils) Eng. Antonio Nacchia;
office supplies donated by a girl of Aqualagna (PU);
a supply of essential medicines by Dr. Luigi Colangelo;
desks, chairs, blackboards, typewriters, a hospital bed, stationery by the ASL Salerno for involvement of Ms Francesca Spataro, some boxes of connettivina by Dr. Alberto Mariani of Perugia;
a rich supply of baby clothes from the company Marine Salerno;
various drugs by Prof. Cristiano Dominici, head of plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of Perugia;
detergents, alcohol and various teaching materials by Dr. Bruno Mangani;
various drugs by Dr. Claudia Varricchio.

Many have been devolved yet offers the benefit of these children by persons close to the console, through this initiative. Certainly, the generosity of supporters continue to occur in the future because careful and deep is their sensitivity to the problems and inconvenience, most of Africa, is living every day.
