Mission in France
The European Days of Development are initiatives widely recognized as a success, thanks to the participation of Heads of State and Government, civil society representatives and experts worldwide from Africa and Europe. In these forums has confirmed the role, not only the primary guarantor of aid for development, but also as an advocate of maximum reflection on international cooperation.
The central theme of this year the "local authorities and development", since it is politically and morally unacceptable that in the XXI century a large part of the world continue to live in a situation of absolute poverty, exacerbated by the action of climate change and the food crisis.
Since the European Development Days are a symbol of Europe's determination to fulfill its promise of a world without poverty, and are a perfect time for exchanges, meetings and innovative partnerships, the creation of this multi-sector mission, has been intended to engage in cooperative activities that can create conditions for development and give Italian companies and the ability to implement new initiatives.
Entrepreneurs participating in the mission had the opportunity to meet: Hon. Morgantini, Vice President European Parliament, the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Mr. Alfredo Mantica flanked by Dr. Joe Coppola diplomat-in-Office at the European Commission, Dr. Michel Vauzelle, chairman of the Provence - Alpes - Côte d'Azur, Dr Dina Maria Tozzi of the Service International Activities Department of the Presidency and the Legislative and Legal Affairs, Dr. Antonio Parodi, Senior Advisor of Liguria Region in Brussels Office; Dr. Omutenya Prorasius Andowa, chief regional officer of the Republic of Namibia; Ichandeu Laurent, Second Counselor of the Embassy of Cameroon; Touenguene Angelico, employee of the town of Douala; Abdoulave Sene, Deputy National Assembly of the Republic of Senegal.
WORKSHOP ORGANIZATION
The workshop was held at conference hall of the Hotel Maison Rouge November 16. The theme: "Local government: a resource for the integration, development and cooperation among peoples."
During this workshop has been made a series of bilateral meetings between companies participating in the mission and the others present at the forum, in which it was possible to discuss the possibilities of trade, transfer know-how and productive investments made in other countries.
At the end of the workshop has been designed with a buffet tasting of typical Italian products.
RESULTS OBTAINED
In line with Europe's commitment to create a world without poverty, the participation of ItalAfrica at the European Development Days have provided a unique opportunity for exchanges, meetings and innovative partnerships to launch the activities of development cooperation, in fact it was important the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with Bujumbura, capital of Burundi.
