TRANSPORTS

There is an international airport in Bangui-Mpoko.

Five airlines provide international transport.

In the capital, Bangui, and in a few other inhabited areas of the Central African Republic, public and private companies that manage urban, suburban and intercity transports exercised by buses ,operate.

It has 900 km of inland waters, the main river, navigable all year, is the Oubangui.

The media commonly used for domestic travels are buses, trucks and minibuses.


ROAD NETWORK

The road network is tarred only in a radius of 200 kilometers around Bangui. Beyond this range, all the streets are strips.

The rains make them impassable between July and November.

To rent a car it is sufficient the national license.


BANGUI  AIRPORT

The international airport is 8 km from the city center which is also the capital of Central African Republic.

Taxis are the only way to reach the center, it is always advisable to first agree upon the price.

Airstrips: 17/35 2599.9x45.1m.

The main airlines are: Air France, Afriqiyah Airways, TAAG Angola Airlines.

Although French is the official language, all speak Sango, which was used since ancient times in trade negotiations between the various tribes.


HEALTH RISKS


Compulsory vaccinations: yellow fever.
Recommended vaccinations: diphtheria and tetanus, hepatitis A virus, hepatitis B virus, typhoid fever, meningococcal meningitis, rabies, polio.

You should consume only water in sealed bottles or hot drinks.

The risk of malaria is present all year throughout the country.

Additional risks: dengue fever, trypanosomiasis, intestinal parasitosis.


CLIMATE

In the northern part of the Republic the climate is tropical with medium-low raininess.

In the south  it is equatorial instead, with heavy rainfall in summer which cause devastating floodings.


LANGUAGE

Christian 51%, indigenous beliefs 34% Muslim and 15%.


VISAS

Italian travelers, like those of most countries, must have a visa for entry,which  allows a maximum stay of 90 days and must be requested prior to departure.

For the issue  it is necessary to submit, among other documents, the passport which must be valid for the full duration of stay.
