On the increase the production of copper

In the first seven months of 2010, copper production in Zambia, the main producer of the metal in Africa, and grew by almost 10 percent compared to last year, from 397.121 to 437.842 tons.

This was announced by the Central Bank of Lusaka, in fact the exports of the metal have been this year amounted to 441,185 tons ,instead in the same period of 2009 they reached 369.065.

On the increase also the production of other minerals. From January to July, Zambia has also seen an increase of over 90 percent of the production of cobalt, increased from 2.534 tons in 2009 to 4.724 ones of this year.
