Rwanda Investment and Export Promotion Agency (RIEPA) - the government agency to promote investment and exports, originally RIPA (Investment Promotion Agency) established in 1998 with a mission to increase investments in Rwanda, has acquired the new name in 2004 expanded its role in the promotion and facilitation of investment and exports.

  • Management of visits investors in Rwanda.
• Facilitation of investments:
  • supply of application forms and processing of investment certificates;
  • the access to land;
  • environmental impact assessment procedures;
  • to facilitate investors to acquire utilities including water, electricity and telephone;
  • Criteria or awareness;
  • Policy or advocacy;
  • Aftercare Services;
  • Register or value added tax (VAT);
  • Clearance or tax;
  • Tax Identification Number (TIN);
  • Customs tax exemption or approval;
  • Business License, registration of companies;
  • notary services;
  • immigration services;
  • authorization to proceed - work permits;
  • renewal of a work permit.
• Facilitation of business development and production for export:
  • market surveys;
  • Information on the requirements or export;
  • to identify potential export markets.
