By 2015 the annual production of gold in Cameroon could move from the current 2 tons to 10 tons and generate 60,000 jobs.

The goal, according to an estimate of the promotion of local mines (CAPAM), requires investments of more than 320 million euros.

The national coordinator of CAPAM,Paul  Ntep Gwet said that from those mines of the country  they could pull out within the next five years also 90,000 carats of diamonds, sapphire for over 2 tons, 35,000 tons of Cleisthenes and over 13,000 tonnes of rutile.

Cameroon "is about to enter a phase characterized by industrial exploitation which will lead to an increased production and diversification of abstractions"
